Two locations. One Bethesda.

Bethesda Health Care is growing, with the Mount joining our organisation to create a second hospital location for Bethesda in Western Australia.

From 24 September 2026, Mount Private Hospital will become Bethesda Mount Hospital, joining Bethesda Hospital in Claremont as part of one Bethesda Health Care organisation.

This is an exciting new chapter in Bethesda’s more than 80-year history – bringing together two hospitals, their people and their expertise, with a shared commitment to providing high-quality, personalised care to Western Australians.

Continuing care, now across two locations

The transition to Bethesda represents an important step forward for the Mount, while maintaining the services and specialist care that patients and the community rely on.

Bethesda Mount Hospital will continue to provide its broad range of specialist services, including cardiology and cardiac surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, vascular surgery and general surgery, supported by Western Australia’s largest private critical care unit.

The Mount’s experienced doctors, nurses and healthcare teams will continue to care for patients, bringing their knowledge and expertise into the broader Bethesda organisation.

For patients, the focus is simple: a smooth transition and continuity of care.

Bethesda has been caring for Western Australians for more than 80 years. What began as a small 14-bed community hospital has grown into a modern healthcare organisation with a strong reputation for clinical excellence, compassionate care and putting patients at the centre of everything we do.

The addition of Bethesda Mount Hospital builds on that history and creates new opportunities to connect expertise, services and people across two hospital locations.

While our locations will be different, our commitment remains the same: to provide patients with a high-quality healthcare experience, supported by skilled people who care about what they do.
