Our Partnering with Consumers Committee (PWCC) drives innovation and change to improve and enrich the consumer experience at Bethesda. Members are from diverse backgrounds and actively open up communication between the Hospital, carers, patients, families and the executive team.
Representatives sit on many Hospital committees and contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation. Members review suggestions and feedback and implement change to our service and processes to improve the patient experience. The Committee also reviews organisational documents and publications, contributes to workforce training, and participates in building design and infrastructure reviews.
One example of a Committee-driven improvement is the introduction of the Surgical Support role. The role focuses on proactive communication with patients waiting for surgery — feedback since its introduction has been extremely positive.
Bethesda Health Care are proud winners of the Australian Private Hospitals Association (APHA) 2020 Awards for Excellence in the Consumer Partnership and Engagement category for our Partnering with Consumers Committee.
