What our graduate program offers:
The Bethesda Health Care Perioperative Graduate Nurse Program provides a positive and supportive environment in which graduate nurses are encouraged to develop both clinically and professionally while gaining exposure to a variety of clinical specialties, including orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology and more. Work in a brand new, state-of-the-art complex of nine theatres. With three rotations over 12 months, you will gain experience in scrub/scout, anaesthetics and post-anaesthetic care.
Other features of the Perioperative Graduate nurse Program include:
- One-week orientation program
- Supernumerary time in each perioperative area
- Fortnightly education sessions
- Extensive Support from the Staff Development Nurses, preceptors and Bethesda’s Learning and Development Team
- Ongoing further education, including study days
- 56 – 70 hour per fortnight contracts available
